How we move.

Motion is foundational to Valicy, not decoration. Our scrolls reveal, our beams scan, our surfaces breathe, our impacts land. Every motion has a purpose and a place. Use these patterns as a kinetic vocabulary the brand speaks fluently.

Contemplative

Focal Plane

Lines come into focus one at a time as the viewer scrolls. Sharp on attention, blurred on periphery. Cubic falloff in opacity, blur, and depth.

Use for: Chapter narrations, manifestos, statements that earn deliberate pacing.

Broadcast

Scanner

A blaze beam traverses the content, locking onto labels as it passes. Reads as a HUD scan or transmission readout.

Use for: Mission statements, system declarations, transmission moments.
Shape
Organic

Clay Morph

Letters subtly knead and reshape themselves like soft clay. Gooey SVG filter with continuous breathing blur radius.

Use for: Action verbs, transformation moments, words about making and shaping.
Kinetic

Impact

Two forces approach with ease-in cubic, collide at center, trigger flash. The wind-up sells the punch.

Use for: Conviction statements, climaxes, declarative impact moments.
Motion Principles
P.01

Intentional, not decorative.

Motion serves the message. If a movement doesn't earn its place by reinforcing meaning or guiding attention, it doesn't belong.

P.02

Triggered, not autoplaying.

Motions respond to the user — scroll, hover, tap. Ambient loops are used sparingly and serve atmosphere, not attention.

P.03

Paused when offscreen.

Animations stop running when the user isn't looking. IntersectionObserver is the default mechanism. No exceptions on mobile.

P.04

Respect reduced motion.

Every motion has a static fallback. The prefers-reduced-motion media query gracefully disables animations and reveals the end state.
